Preface:

Dysentery is a severe type of disease. A special treatment is required for one attacked with this disease. Because chronic desentery brings about anaemia, nervous debility, intestinal sore, loss of contraction of anus etc. and many other disease.
At an early age it was called the diseases of Eastern zone of India. But at present the number of patients attacked with this disease is gradually increasing throughout India. Water supplied by Corporation or Municipality is one of the causes for spreading this disease. As this water is not properly filtered, many people fall into the catch of this disease. Beside this chemical manure used n the cultivated lands and exciting medicines such as capsules, tablets etc. are also another cause.
In this book l have tried my utmost to show the path of actual treatment of this disease as far as possible hope that both student and physician will be benefitted by this book. It would not be proper if l do not mention the names of Dr. Gurupada Das. Prof. Indian Drug Medical College, Dr. Prabitra Mohan Kar, D.M.S., Dr. N.
