INTRODUCTION

I have gone through the new book of Dr. Bhattacharya and Dr. Mrs. Tapashi Bhattacharya (Gangulee), IN-TEGRATED PRACTICAL AND HOLISTIC MEDICINE: A NEWAPPROACH and find the same very interesting. Every Pathy has its limitations and I feel that this book will help practitioners to cross the hurdle when treating different types of diseases.
The Homoeopathic remedies mentioned for different disease is based on the principles of Tridosha Theory of Ayurveda, which is absolutely a new approach to treatment. The practitioners will find ready prescriptions for different diseases, which is not possible through Classical Homoeopathy. Dr. Bhattacharya is practicing Homoeopathy since last 45 years and treats a very large number of patients every year with unique success. I would recommend the Homoeopaths to try the prescriptions and I am sure they will get the benefit and thus enhance the reputation of Homoeopathy.
Magnet Therapy is a new approach to treatment of different diseases and is becoming very popular all over the world and the indications given in the book would help the practitioners of Magnet Therapy.
Color Therapy or Chromotherapy is a very old system and it is gratifying to note that a very simple method has been advocated in’ this book. This is a very simple method and one does not require any medical knowledge to apply the same. Hence, I believe that this book would be very useful to even laymen in tackling small ailments at home.
Gem Therapy even though it sounds a new therapy is not so. Gems were used extensively in Ayurveda but asa they become very expensive it went out of vogue and people forgot about the same. The method given in the book is very inexpensive and everybody can take advantage of this therapy.
