PREFACE

THE present little book is an abridgment of the Author's manual on " The Diseases of Infants and Children," and is published by the request of'persons who take a deep interest in the spread of Homoeopathy, and its adaptation to the requirements of all portions of the community. It is suited, not merely in its small cost, but in its simple language, to the humblest individual, who has only small ability in reading. As far as he was able, the Author has made every expression and word plain to the comprehension of all, and, at the same time, has -tried to convey a large amount of useful information, suited to every household which contains the rich inheritance of children.
The Author hopes this publication may second the benevolent endeavours of those who seek to improve the health and happiness of. the industrious classes, by teaching important lessons in the rearing of children.
