The book offers a comparative aspect of the 212 remedies given in Kent’s original materia medica. Not only has each drug has been explained on it’s own, but also listed under the other remedies with seemingly related symptoms, so that the reader can easily identify the their peculiarities in the most convincing of manners.
The author in this painstaking compilation has given the relations of the drugs which are given in Kent’s materia medica. The main aim of this book is to give a comparative aspect to the work of one of the best describers of our materia medica. These comparisons are taken from Dr. Kent’s work, and have been put together at one place under one drug. Dr. Kent explains each drug on its own and by comparing it or relating it to other remedies of our materia medica, and in this book the author has given all such comparisons under one single drug. For example a drug Hepar Sulphuricum, has been discussed by Dr. Kent under various other drugs like kalmia, aurum etc., but the author after reading the whole work, grouped all the comparisons and relations under one single drug. This reserve highlights the relationship between the remedies discussed, but in Dr. Kent’s words.
