Preface:
Fresh doctors and interns are often heard saying, "Headache is real headache." They are right perhaps since one of the commonest symptoms headache is not only distressing for the patient but may also be confusing for the physician, because it may have its roots in any physiological system of the body, such as, upper respiratory tract (sinusitis), gastro-intestinal tract (gastric or biliary headache), nervous system (neuralgias and meningitis), special senses (refractive errors, sun headache), vascular system (migraine and hypertension) or cranium itself (tumors etc.), even uterine (suppressed menses) or general (fevers), not forgetting psychogenic which is by far the commonest cause.
According to Harrison, the quality, location, duration and time coarse of headache and conditions which pro-duce exacerbate or relieve it, should be carefully reviewed since except in special circumstances such as temporal arthritis, physical examination is seldom useful."
This is an effort to provide all these, which might help in diagnosis but definitely in choosing the appropriate remedy from Homoeopathic point of view of complete symptom or totality of symptoms.
