"Pregnancy, parturition, and puerperium, which are such important moments in the life of a woman and for the newborn baby, are in my opinion, not developed, thoroughly and extensively enough in Kent's Repertory. Therefore I think it is interesting to make up a compilation on these subjects, as treated by different authors, so as to give them the importance they deserve."
