Preface:
When most of the drs were reluctant / hesitant / not sure about using the mind symptoms Dr. Sehgal dared to ventured into it. The difficult task in the beginning for him was "How to decode the rubrics?" He started studying the rubric by working out on every word given of a rubric from dictionary with its position in grammar-whether it is a noun, adjective, adverb etc. so as to grasp the precise sense of every word and the rubric as a whole.
The most important part of his research was expansion of meaning of rubric by drawing broader interpretation and inferences needed to capture the very soul of the rubric. Here the point to be kept in mind is that the conversion of the expression into rubrics should not be mechanical bur mathematical. In mathematics we have exact equation e.g. 1+9=10, 2+8=10. Likewise we can have various other equations often. Similarly we have rubrics like 'fear', 'anxiety' and 'anguish'. We need to know precisely the difference between the very senses conveyed by them.
Now if we study the fear, anxiety and anguish with there dictionary meaning and the meaning given by Dr. Sehgal we can feel that the way Dr. Sehgal understood and applied the three it became more easier and practical.
