Dr. Samuel Hahnemann faced several problems in curing the various diseases. He observed that when a well-selected remedy was administered in a particular case, there was a cure — a temporary cure — either the problems come back in their original form or now in a different form. So the patient was not cured entirely. The disease remained in the body in some form or the other. This made Dr. Hahnemann think, "What was the reason of the thousands of unsuccessful endeavors to heal other diseases of chronic nature so that lasting health might result?"

It is a great pleasure to present the reader with this work. First, this started as personal notes for quick reference purposes. Later on it was appreciated by some friends and this book took shape. The work is in four sections each section compiled from different books and works of other authors for quick reference purposes; each section has its own list of contents.
