Susan Sonz: The language of the remedy
The author describes how she uses the sensation method as an experiment with the unconscious. Her method is especially clear in the final case, with a patient suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Here the dislike of various foods leads the patient to vividly describe a simile somewhere between frogspawn and salamander spawn. The two other cases of constrictor snakes are less experimental, with the common sensations of cold, constriction and suffocation.
