Preface:

"Life is short, the art long, the occasions fleating, experience fallacious and judgment difficult." - Hippocrates.

The principal aim of this "Treatise on Human physiology" is to provide the guideline to the degree and medical students in the form of time-honored questions and brief answers. Physiology is a vast subject and to cover it thoroughly for a student in due time is a very tough Job. It is hoped that the representations of the important question & answers will immensely help the average as well as the more inquisitive students to equip themselves with the latest knowledge of the subject covered.

In preparation of this book, the author has been helped by many of his friends, to whom he is highly grateful, namely Dr. Pankaj Aggarwal, Prabir Nag, C. Gupta, Iqbal Alam, AmalNandi, Anirban, Raju Thakur, Janardan, A., last but not least my loving wife Bobby, etc.

Lastly, many thanks are to the authors of various books (given in the bibliography) whose knowledge has been freely utilized by the author. The author is confident enough that the students for whom this has been written will certainly appreciate it.

Comments and criticism are most welcome and should be sent through the publisher.
